Account Manager – Public Sector (GP)

This is a senior-level role for a proactive sales hunter with a proven track record in the public sector. You’ll grow key accounts across municipalities, parastatals, and government agencies by positioning innovative ICT solutions that meet complex client needs.
What You’ll Do
Manage and grow key public sector accounts
Conduct regular site visits and client calls
Prepare accurate quotes and follow up on deliveries and invoices
Submit forecasts, sales updates, and pipeline reports
Provide after-sales support and resolve client issues
Attend product training, sales meetings, and support tender submissions
Continuously market company offerings and improve client engagement
What You Bring
Senior Certificate (essential); relevant tertiary qualification preferred
7+ years of senior sales experience in the public sector
Knowledge of VOIP, AV, VC, networking, client computing & data centre solutions
Familiarity with products like Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, HP, Huawei, and Poly
Proven history of achieving 75%+ sales targets over 3 years
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
Deadline-driven, analytical, and solution-focused
