Job summary
A staffing agency in Singapore is seeking a full-time logistics coordinator to manage export and shipping operations. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in logistics and demonstrate strong communication skills and a customer service focus. Responsibilities include preparing shipping documents and coordinating with factories to ensure timely deliveries, in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Logistics or related field required.
- Strong communication skills needed, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle exports and shipping operations to global markets.
- Coordinate shipments with factories and customers.
- Prepare shipping documents for timely deliveries.
Skills
Education
- Responsible for handling exports / shipping operations to global markets.
- Liaise with external parties and coordinate shipments with respective factories / customers / service providers.
- Prepare shipping documents and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Arrange GST supporting documents and submit to accounting department.
- Verify service provider bills.
- Strive to meet monthly KPI targets.
- Job coverage during colleagues’ absence (buddy system).
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Understanding of International Trade practices and Incoterms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a pleasant and cheerful demeanor
