Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities and crew supervision.
- Conduct inspections to ensure quality meets specifications.
- Provide guidance to resolve construction-related issues.
- Check designs and drawings for on-site accuracy.
- Organize resource allocation for efficiency.
- Carry out site surveys according to project plans.
- Enforce health and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and reporting.
- Coordinate with various professionals and clients.
- Project supervision: Oversee daily activities and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and other technical staff.
- Quality control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Technical guidance: Provide technical advice and expertise to resolve construction-related problems, such as design errors or equipment malfunctions.
- Drawings and plans: Check technical designs and drawings for accuracy and verify that they are being followed correctly on-site.
- Resource management: Plan and organize the allocation of materials, tools, and equipment to maximize efficiency and control costs.
- Site surveying: Carry out initial site surveys and set out locations in accordance with project plans.
- Health and safety: Enforce safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with all relevant safety and health legislation.
- Documentation and reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, including site diaries, progress reports, and test results, and present updates to stakeholders.
- Liaison: Coordinate and communicate with a range of professionals, including architects, quantity surveyors, and clients.
