Job summary
A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a skilled technician to perform inspections and repairs on various machinery, including forklifts and lifts. Candidates should have a diploma in Mechanical, Automotive, or related fields, along with at least 2-3 years of field and workshop service support experience. Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems are essential. Excellent communication abilities and a customer-focused attitude are necessary for this role.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of field service support experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of workshop service support experience.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) on new machines.
- Conduct full machine inspections and advise on findings.
- Perform workshop repairs on various machines.
- Report on repair statuses and required parts.

- Perform Pre‑delivery Inspection (PDI) inclusive of local modification/enhancement on new machines.
- Perform full machine inspection on customer’s and rental fleet’s machines to advise Team Leader on findings and recommendations.
- Perform workshop repairs to customer’s and rental fleet’s machines on the product range that are carried by company.
- Report to supervisors regarding the status of repairs, required parts, and any additional issues encountered during servicing.
- Perform spare parts verification against picking list prior to machine repairs.
- Perform Used Machines refurbishments on product lines carried by company.
- Assist in PE inspection for new, rental and customer machines inclusive of carrying out load tests.
- Perform pre‑delivery and post‑repair testing to confirm that the equipment is in proper working order.
- Conduct training for operators on the correct method of operation and daily check maintenance of the new and hired fleet machine on site.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems ensuring equipment is operating efficiently.
- Assist/support Field Service Operation as and when required.
- Be responsible for workshop cleanliness and tidiness.
- Thoroughly follow up on all open technical issues until the problems are fully resolved.
- Remain environmentally and safety conscious.
- Handle any other technical related aspects as and when required.
- ITE / NTC 2/3 / Diploma in Mechanical / Automotive / Electrical / Mechatronic.
- Minimum of 2‑3 years of field service support.
- Minimum 2‑3 years of workshop service support.
- Ability to work independently and also in a team.
- Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic system troubleshooting skill.
- Experience working with a wide range of brands and models in the machineries equipment industry.
- Familiarity with special diagnostic tools and software.
- Proven experience in servicing forklift, boom lifts, scissor lifts and other industrial machines.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and service manuals.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
- Class 3 driving license will be an advantage.
- Forklift license and MEWPS licenses preferred.
