You will work with a team of engineers focusing on project management and engineering aspects of Rolling Stock and Depot Equipment. The projects you will be working on include passenger trains, specialised track maintenance vehicles (locomotives, wagons, rail grinding vehicles, etc.), rail depot equipment (automatic train wash plant, automatic storage and retrieval system, underfloor wheel-lathe, etc.) and bus depot equipment (automatic bus wash system, bus testing and maintenance equipment, etc.)
You will have the unique opportunity to play a part in the expansion of Singapore’s Railway and Bus network through your work on developing technical specifications, reviewing design submissions from suppliers and exploring engineering initiatives to improve reliability, operation and maintenance of the Rolling Stock and Depot Equipment. You will also need to work closely with cross functional teams from different disciplines within LTA, as well as with Public Transport Operators and contractors at various stages of projects.
Requirements:
• Background knowledge in Electrical / Electronic /Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge of data analytics is a plus;
• Keen interest to learn the engineering design of railway vehicles and depot equipment and the implementation of these systems into use for Singapore’s Public Transport network;
• Strong interest and ability to innovatively integrate technological advancements for enhancement of Rolling Stock and Depot Systems through digitalisation and automation to improve operation and maintenance efficiency;
• Self-driven and possess the initiative to work independently while being a team player;
• Direct involvement in site works such as First Article Inspection, Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning;
• Individuals with the aptitude to travel for overseas testing and inspection;
• Good communication, presentation, and inter-personal skills;
• Those with relevant experience may be considered for senior position.
