About the Role

The Engineer is responsible for ensuring reliable operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security, mechanical, and electrical systems across on‑site facilities. This role focuses on diagnosing and resolving system faults efficiently while minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The Engineer plays a key role in preventive and predictive maintenance, supporting day‑to‑day operations, and responding promptly to maintenance issues and emergencies.

Working closely with project and operations teams, the Engineer ensures that maintenance and support of works are carried out according to technical specifications, schedules, and safety requirements. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, supporting basic traffic management activities when required, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve maintenance processes and system performance. Strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of various security, mechanical, and electrical systems to ensure operational reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical system faults and breakdowns efficiently, with a focus on safety and minimal downtime.
  • Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance and promptly identify and follow up on any equipment malfunctions or defects.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure timely updates on repair status and completed works.
  • Respond to and manage operational and maintenance issues to minimize disruption to site operations.
  • Provide on‑site support for basic traffic management, including full or lane closures, as required by the job scope.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure work is executed according to schedule and in compliance with technical and safety requirements.
  • Always ensure strict adherence to workplace safety procedures and safe work practices.
  • Uphold good housekeeping practices at work sites to maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Provide technical and maintenance support to the team to promote a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to maintenance procedures, tools, and processes to enhance overall efficiency and performance.
Key Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of security systems and infrastructure is an added advantage.
  • Hands‑on experience in fault diagnosis, repair, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety procedures and operational standards.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a service‑oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to work shift hours, weekends, and attend to emergencies when required.
  • Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license is an added advantage.
  • Good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
