Assistant Manager (Global Maintenance and Repair)

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Assistant Manager, Global Maintenance and Repair for a global shipowner company. He/she will provide support to establish criteria, policies, guidelines for Maintenance and Repair (MNR) activity of dry & reefer unit and Assist the HOD / team lead with strategic direction and contribute to the organization-wide strategy. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of MNR operation, equipment flow management understanding and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to establish criteria, policies, guidelines for Maintenance and Repair (MNR) activity of dry & reefer unit
  • Direct RHQ/Local MNR members and vendors with instruction on MNR activities for to control cost and maintain quality
  • Supervise and support global cost activities
  • Guide team and team leaders to enhance operational efficiency
  • Assist to set organizational objectives and targets
  • Conduct analysis of data on a regular basis to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement and report to Head of Department
  • Perform regular depot audits (which includes administration and training) with the team and ensure Group policy, procedure and standards are adhered to
  • Assist the HOD / team lead with strategic direction and contribute to the organization-wide strategy
  • Undertake ad-hoc work, plan and execute projects

Requirement:

  • Diploma/Degree in relevant discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of field MNR operational skills and equipment flow management understanding
  • Proficient in software / IT applications & possess good analytical skills
  • Good communication skills with proficiency in English to communicate effectively with stakeholders and counterparts
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
