AI Data Analyst - Production Optimization - Oil & Gas
Job summary
A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a data analyst with expertise in AI/ML development to analyze production data and develop cloud-based workflows. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and experience in data analytics, with strong skills in Python and SQL. Responsibilities include building dashboards, integrating external datasets, and supporting digital transformation initiatives. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills within the oil & gas industry.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in data analytics, AI/ML, or operations analytics.
- Experience working with cloud platforms for data and AI workloads.
- Understanding of production/operational data and basic oil & gas processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced data analysis on production and operational datasets.
- Assist in developing and training AI/ML models.
- Build and maintain cloud-based data workflows and analytical pipelines.
- Integrate external/public datasets into AI models.
- Create dashboards and data visualizations for engineering and operations teams.
- Translate operational questions into AI/analytics solutions.
- Support digital transformation and AI initiatives.

- Perform advanced data analysis on production and operational datasets to identify performance trends, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
- Assist in developing and training AI/ML models (forecasting, anomaly detection, optimization, predictive maintenance).
- Build and maintain cloud-based data workflows and analytical pipelines (AWS or Alibaba Cloud).
- Integrate external/public datasets (weather, market, satellite, macro trends) into AI models and analyses.
- Create dashboards, data visualizations, and automated insights for engineering and operations teams.
- Translate business and operational questions into AI/analytics solutions that support strategic and operational goals.
- Support digital transformation and AI initiatives through documentation, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in data analytics, AI/ML, or operations analytics (oil & gas preferred).
- Strong skills in Python and SQL; familiarity with ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS or Alibaba Cloud) for data and AI workloads.
- Understanding of production/operational data and basic oil & gas processes.
- Ability to build dashboards and visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
- AI, cloud, or data certifications (AWS ML, Alibaba AI Engineer, Google Data Analytics) are an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
