We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics and Inventory Control Specialist to oversee the management, tracking, and organization of all equipment, supplies, and materials within our data center. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient inventory processes, coordinate logistics operations, and support the seamless functioning of data center infrastructure.
Your Role
The LICS is responsible for all aspects of the warehouse. Functions include, but are not limited to the receiving, receipting, inspecting, asset tagging, securely storing, handling, shipping, validating and preparing product for customer delivery, staging or internal/external transfer while maintaining the warehouse in a safe, clean and orderly fashion.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records of hardware, spare parts, cables, and other data center equipment.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate the receipt, inspection, and storage of equipment and materials arriving at the data center.
- Track asset movements, distributions, and returns to ensure proper record-keeping.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to schedule deliveries and optimize supply chain logistics.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Assist in planning for equipment upgrades, replacements, and expansions.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols related to inventory storage and handling.
- Support data center operations during asset deployment and decommissioning processes.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Proven experience in logistics, inventory management, or supply chain roles, preferably in a data center or IT environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and data center asset tracking tools.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of data center hardware and infrastructure is a plus.
