Summary
Responsible for diagnosing and treating medical diseases and conditions, as well as providing medical care in Pediatric Endocrinology, in accordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and organizational policies in Saudi Arabia.
Education / Qualification Required:
- Basic medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Post-qualification certification from:
- North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand:
- USA: The American Board of Pediatric Nephrology (ABP)
- Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPS or CCFP – Pediatric Nephrology)
- UK and Ireland: CCT/CCST Specialist Register – Pediatric Nephrology
- Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College - Pediatric Nephrology (FRACP)
- Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above
Experience Post-Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years after board or equivalent certification in USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand, or France (DES).
- Minimum five (5) years after board or equivalent certification in Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, Netherlands, Greece, or France (DIS).
License:
- Current and in good standing medical license to practice in the country of residence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high-standard patient care aligned with the mission, vision, and values of MNGHA within the Department of Medicine's Pediatric Nephrology division.
- Provide inpatient care for Pediatric Nephrology patients admitted to the hospital, either as the primary physician or covering during the absence of the patient's main physician, including on-call responsibilities.
- Deliver outpatient care in the ambulatory care facility, as dictated by organizational and departmental needs.
- Offer consultation services to other departments within the organization during regular and on-call hours.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the scope of privileges granted based on training, qualification, experience, and skills.
- Participate in on-call coverage according to organizational rules.
- Engage in quality improvement programs of the division and department.
- Supervise and serve as a role model for trainees and subordinates in Pediatric Nephrology.
- Serve on organizational committees as appointed and participate in research and educational activities.
- Adhere to all organizational rules, regulations, and ethical standards, including compliance with all medical staff policies.
- Maintain respectful and culturally sensitive interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and staff.
