As a Vitro Retinal and Phaco Product Manager, you will develop and coordinate implementation of short, medium and long term plans through strategic planning, business plan development and marketing planning for product line, ensure achievement of products target through Partnership and National Managers and Distributors, profitability and growth and plans implementation in the regions.

A typical day in this role will include:

  • Identifies and analyses customer needs as well as market segment dynamics as to develop, communicate and coordinate strategic product plan, business plan, marketing plans and budget plan implementation in compliance with Alcon international strategies and update according to the direction established by operational manager. Defines, along with PMs, FCH, Saudi National Manager (NM) and Distributors, the marketing and commercial objectives and allocate them to Regions to ensure objectives achievement for sales, profitability and growth in the short, medium and long term.
  • To coordinate implementation of promotion plans for vitro retinal and phaco equipment and other product lines, through NM/PMs/Distributors a to ensure timely and appropriate implementation and follow up of strategies and tactics via Distributors.
  • To support monthly sales forecast for respective product(s) lines based on NM/PMs feedback as well as market knowledge in order to ensure continuous availability as well as achievement of inventory targets.
  • Responsible, along with FCH/NM/PMs/Distributors, to define and propose required investments to regions. Responsible to manage promotion expenses and be responsible for to allocate them to the A&P budget accordingly with Distributor Marketing Plan.
  • To identify along with NM, CMS and Distributors, the opportunities for new products/services to achieve growth targets.
  • To establish strong relationships with Distributors, opinion leaders and key external individuals, in order to keep product lines updated taking into account requirements from environment.
  • Visit the market across the ME and provide support to Alcon and Distributor teams on marketing strategy execution (Travel and Field time 30% – 40%)
  • Identify and implement the systems and methodology to track market data (Active Equipment Installed Bases, Market Shares, tender management, market intelligence etc.)
  • To conduct all required regional or local reports at required dates.
  • Forecast annual and long term MS/IB of assigned products
WE ARE SEEKING:
  • Education/Background: Health sciences bachelor’s degree, preferably with marketing or business master’s degree as plus.
  • Experience: 8 years in Sales, commercial, marketing for medical devices with at least 2 – 3 years in Marketing experience alone, preferably in surgical ophthalmology as plus.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, high level of English fluency with Arabic language as plus, marketing and strategic planning).
  • Middle East knowledge and Distributor Market set-up is considered a plus.
  • Willing to travel extensively 30%-40% (Middle East Regions)
