Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in upholstery production within a factory or furniture manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is essential.
• Strong knowledge of upholstery materials including fabrics, foam, stitching techniques, and accessories.
• Ability to read and interpret furniture drawings, detailing, and finishing requirements.
• Good leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, project-driven production setup.

Responsibilities

• Supervise upholstery teams and assign daily production tasks.
• Ensure all upholstery work meets approved quality standards, drawings, and specifications.
• Oversee the complete upholstery process including cutting, stitching, padding, fabric selection, and final finishing.
• Coordinate with Production, Carpentry, and Quality Control teams to align schedules and resolve issues.
• Identify and resolve technical or workmanship challenges during production.
• Monitor and control material usage to minimize waste.
• Maintain upholstery tools, machines, and workstations.
• Ensure compliance with factory safety standards and best practices.
• Continuously improve upholstery methods and workflow efficiency.
