Overview

ASIAPOWER OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 6.30 PM (MONDAY TO SATURDAY)

Urgently required for a leading Engineering & Construction Company involved in Operation & Maintenance of Facility Management Industry in Saudi Arabia.

Main Purpose of the Job

The Electrical Technician-LV-A perform skilled maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and repair of standard low voltage systems (below 1000 V), equipment, components and wiring networks. He works on low voltage electrical wiring networks, distribution panels LV switch gears, Motor starter panel, control panels and miscellaneous low voltage components and peripheral applications.

Main Competencies Required for the Position

• Electrical Technician-A should be able to utilize standard industry tools and instruments
• Should be able to perform standard level diagnosis, repairs and installation of low voltage electrical systems
• Should be able to read, trace and apply electrical drawings
• Knowledge of the common electrical accessories, functions and the usage
• Should be able to listen to instructions, implement them, guide and mentor subordinates and transfer knowledge.
• Legible communication skills in English.
• Gentle behavioral skills including listening and comprehending from superiors, Fast Learning
• Ability to handle multiple tasks

Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and usage of PPEs

Main Duties / Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, maintains and traces faults in LV electrical wiring networks
• Maintenance and repair of wiring networks, lighting fixtures, street lighting and other LV electrical peripherals
• Works on LV electrical panels, control boards and switch gears
• Implements electrical drawings, tests and commission LV installations
• Use power hand tools and other test instruments
• Conducts inspections and NDT on electrical connections, wiring and status of electrical equipment, panels and switchgears
• Applies safety procedures and use PPE protection means when working
• Preserving punctuality in attendance

Minimum qualifications / educational levels required for this position

• Recognized technician level certificate or diploma in Electricity.
• Communication skills in English.

Selection Criteria

• Proficiency in English
• Passing a test in electrical wiring principles and/or trade test
• Working skills in O & M projects.
• Has FM background
• Ability to work under a superior, listen to and apply instructions

Special Conditions

• Background in Operation and Maintenance of building facilities
• Good organizational skills.
• Good computer skills

What minimum experience is required for this position

Three-year Technical Diploma (3-year) in Electricity field + 5 years of relevant practical experience or Two-year Technical diploma in Electricity field + 7 years of relevant practical experience – or One-year apprentice certificate + 9 years of relevant experience
