Job description

The Solution Architect for the Buildings Segment is responsible for designing and delivering integrated building solutions that align with Schneider Electric’s strategic objectives. This role bridges business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions for smart buildings, energy efficiency, and digital transformation.

Responsibilities
  • Solution Design & Architecture
    • Develop end-to-end architecture for building automation, energy management, HVAC, lighting, security, and IoT-enabled solutions.
    • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, interoperability, enterprise architecture and sustainability standards.
  • Technical Leadership
    • Provide guidance to engineering and project teams on system integration, cybersecurity, and interoperability during design and implementation phases.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies for smart building solutions.
    • Create detailed technical documentation, diagrams, and BOMs for proposed solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborate with clients to understand building performance objectives and operational challenges.
    • Collaborate with sales, operations to translate customer business needs into technical solutions.
    • Present architectural designs and value propositions to clients and internal teams.
  • Compliance & Standards
    • Ensure solutions comply with local regulations, global standards, and Schneider Electric policies.
    • Maintain documentation of architecture designs, processes, and technical specifications.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
  • 10+ years in solution architecture, preferably in building automation or energy management.
  • Proven track record in designing IoT, BMS (Building Management Systems), and cloud-based solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems & protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, KNX, IoT platforms and IP networking.
  • Experience with energy HVAC, lighting control, access control, and energy efficiency strategies and green building standards.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML applications in building performance optimization.
  • Certifications in building automation or solution architecture (e.g., LEED, PMP, Smartscore).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
