⚙️ Hiring: Shift Charge Engineer – Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant

📍 Ar Rass, Saudi Arabia

Join a world‑class operations team at one of Saudi Arabia’s most advanced Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plants. As a Shift Charge Engineer, you’ll lead plant operations during your shift — ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient generation while maintaining full compliance with HSE and quality standards.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead and supervise the operations team during your shift to meet power generation and efficiency targets.
  • Oversee start‑up, shutdown, equipment changeovers, and emergency responses in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all Permit to Work (PTW) systems and issue permits for maintenance and operational activities.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, chemistry, and planning teams to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor performance and identify equipment abnormalities, initiating troubleshooting and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate shift reports, logbooks, and operational documentation for handovers.
  • Manage shift resources effectively to achieve production targets while ensuring safety and operational excellence.
  • Lead emergency response actions during abnormal situations until relieved by higher authority.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, OHSAS, and environmental standards, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and optimization initiatives across the plant.
What we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent) or a Technical Diploma with relevant experience.
  • 5–7 years of operational experience in power and/or desalination plants (10+ years if holding a diploma).
  • Proven expertise in CCGT operations, including start‑up, shutdown, and equipment protection systems.
  • Solid understanding of HSE, permit‑to‑work, and plant safety systems.
  • Familiarity with SAP CMMS and plant operation reporting tools preferred.
  • Strong people leadership, mentoring, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and operational integrity.
