Job Purpose
Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure initiatives—including data center, networks, cloud, security, workplace technologies, and disaster recovery/business continuity (DR/BCP)—across multiple business units. Own the scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder alignment, while ensuring adherence to engineering and change management standards.
Key Accountabilities
Program & Project Ownership
- Translate strategic business outcomes into clear project scope, success criteria, and phased roadmaps.
- Develop integrated project plans, budgets, resource models, and procurement timelines.
- Lead governance activities including steering committees, RAID logs, and stage gates, ensuring traceability from project charter through to benefits realization.
Delivery & Execution
- Lead the successful delivery of initiatives such as:
- Data center builds/migrations, server/storage refresh, hyperconverged infrastructure.
- Network implementations (core, edge, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN), segmentation, OT/IoT connectivity.
- Cloud landing zones, hybrid cloud connectivity, identity integration, and migration planning.
- Security solutions: PAM, EDR, SIEM/SOC, firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection.
- Workplace modernization: M365, Intune/MEM, collaboration tools, VDI.
- Backup and DR orchestration, including resilience and failover testing.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Security, Applications, Operations, Vendors) with defined RACI models and scheduled change windows.
Risk, Compliance & Quality
- Maintain comprehensive RAID registers and lead risk impact assessments with mitigation strategies.
- Enforce change advisory board (CAB) processes, configuration management, and handovers to operations.
- Ensure alignment with ITIL practices and compliance with standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 20000, 27001, 22301) and local regulatory requirements.
Financials & Procurement
- Build and manage business cases, total cost of ownership (TCO), ROI analysis, and CapEx/OpEx budgets.
- Manage procurement lifecycle including RFPs, vendor evaluations, SOWs, acceptance criteria, and SLA tracking.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Set up transparent and consistent project reporting (dashboards, status updates, burndown charts, benefits realization).
- Facilitate executive updates and steering committee decisions; handle stakeholder expectations and escalations.
- Lead cutover planning, go-live readiness, and transition activities including knowledge transfer to Operations and Service Desk teams.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- PMP or PMI certification preferred.
Experience
- 8–12+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years managing mid-to-large-scale infrastructure projects (multi-site or enterprise-level).
- Demonstrated successful delivery in at least three of the following domains:
- Data center migration
- Network core/SD-WAN implementation
- Cloud/hybrid architecture projects
- Security platform rollouts
- Workplace/endpoint modernization
- Disaster recovery and business continuity
Technical & Tools Proficiency
- Project Management Tools: MS Project (or equivalent), Jira/Confluence, ServiceNow/Remedy, Power BI/Tableau.
- Methodologies: Waterfall, hybrid, Agile (adapted for infrastructure projects); strong knowledge of change and release management processes.
Soft Skills
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Vendor negotiation and contract management.
- Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving.
- Conflict resolution and facilitation across diverse technical and business teams.
