• Coordinates clinical and operational activities during the shift to ensure optimum service and quality care are delivered effectively and efficiently.
• Involved in Education & Training as needed
• Provides basic and advanced life support to ill and/or injured patients in the prehospital and inter-hospital setting.
• Responds to prehospital emergencies and disasters, acts as the medical incident commander at the scene and coordinate with the incident commander and other emergency responders.
• Involves and participate in disaster planning, drills and exercises.
• Participates in advance life support and disaster life support training in addition to in-service training.
• Performs regular check-up as per policy and the specific check lists on the ambulances, prehospital care equipment and disaster supplies. Ensures all equipment’s and supplies are adequate, up-to-date and ready for use.

- Evaluate the different Prehospital care committees’ performance and provide the needed support
- Review Paramedics unit Monthly work schedule, review Paramedics unit course compliance and coordinate with office of academic affairs to open extra life support and disaster preparedness essential courses.
- Assume the role of operations manager to manage Prehospital care unit events preparation and assume the role of medical leader/representative during the events at the site.
- Coordinate with different government agencies such as Red Crescent and non-government agencies to provide collaborative training, establish mutual agreements and sharing of new technology.
- Assume the role of risk and compliance officer to constantly perform risk assessments for the division/unit, to address areas of potential liability.
- Provide analysis of patient care records data to identiy trends and patterns.
- Take lead in monitoring and reviewing of quality assurance procedure.
- participates in evaluating and analyzing quality assurance programs for per-hospital division; attend quality assurance meetings; evaluate data and make recommendations.
- recommends, develop and implement program and policy changes relating to the pre-hospital division.
- Follows Paramedic standing orders, protocols, and advanced life support guidelines, Advanced
- Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Participates in drills.
- Assesses the safety and hazards at the scene of an emergency.
- Provides special rescue services where trained in those specific areas.
- Ensures readiness and preparedness for 911 emergency calls or disaster response.
- Checks the ambulance and equipment used for pre-hospital emergency medical care.
- Utilizes specialized communication equipment to consult with Physicians and /or notify hospitals of patients
- condition.
- Completes detailed documentation on patient care and transport.
- Attends continuing medical education (CME) on an ongoing basis to maintain licensing and/or certification and also standards of knowledge and skills.
- Involved in training and provide in-service for the staff in equipment or update patient care guidelines.
- Acts as decontamination officer to oversee the decontamination equipment, training and conduct drills as needed.
- Acts as a JCI member for observing the deficiencies in the area and meet the standard requirement for accreditation.
- Acts as a preceptor and/or participates in orientation of new employees and students as assigned and assists with developing and conducting new employee orientation, as well as other training programs for employees, and maintain training records
- Performs life support skills and treatment in Air transfer by Med-Vac.
- Be a Glucometer trainer for the unit to monitor the staff glucometer competency as required.
- Participates in teaching and instructing life support courses as required.
- Completes hoist and Helicopter Under water Escape training as required for MedVac.
- Completes Critical Care Emergency Transfer Program as required.
- Reports to Pre-Hospital Care Unit Manager and Pre-Hospital Care Division Director.
- Participates in Campaigns and Events as requested by DOM chair or PHC Division Director.
- Completes Hospital Incident Command System training as needed.
Bachelor's degree in a recognized Paramedic or Health Science Program from local or international college/university OR Diploma degree in a recognized Paramedic or Health Science Program from local or
international college/university
Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, NRP, BDLS, and ADLS
For Bachelor's (Up to 3 years of relevant experience), OR Diploma degree (with Minimum 10 years of relevant experience)
