Role Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Architect to lead the design and technical execution of architectural projects across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will oversee all phases of design, from concept development through to Issued For Construction (IFC) documentation, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and coordinating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires advanced BIM expertise, strong technical knowledge of building systems, and proven experience delivering high-quality, technically robust design packages in a consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Design and Technical Execution
  • Lead architectural design concepts from pre-design through schematic design (SD), design development (DD), and contract documentation (CD).
  • Prepare, review, and finalize detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and IFC documentation.
  • Ensure designs comply with local and international building codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Conduct technical reviews of in-house and sub-consultant design outputs for quality, technical accuracy, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cost consultants and engineers on cost estimation and value engineering.
2. Project Management and Coordination
  • Mentor and guide junior and intermediate architectural staff, providing technical direction and leadership.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison for design matters with clients, contractors, and authorities.
  • Coordinate design integration across all engineering disciplines (Structural, MEP, Civil, etc.) to produce fully coordinated, clash‑free design packages.
3. BIM Implementation and Management
  • Apply advanced BIM methodologies (e.g., Revit) throughout all design phases.
  • Establish and maintain BIM standards and protocols for the project team.
  • Utilize BIM for visualization, quantity take‑offs, coordination, and clash detection to improve design quality and efficiency.
4. Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Implement QA/QC processes throughout the design lifecycle to minimize errors and rework.
  • Ensure all designs and documentation comply with relevant governmental regulations, zoning ordinances, and industry standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed/Registered Architect or equivalent professional certification.
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in architecture or architectural/engineering consultancy.
  • Proven experience delivering projects in commercial, residential, mixed‑use, or institutional sectors.
Essential Skills and Competencies
  • Technical Excellence: Strong knowledge of building technology, construction detailing, materials, and specifications.
  • BIM Proficiency: Expert‑level skills in BIM software (e.g., Revit). Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite is also required.
  • Codes and Standards: In-depth knowledge of local and international building codes and regulations.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication for effective coordination with clients, consultants, and teams.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead technical teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in drawings, documentation, and technical deliverables.
