Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Saudi Arabia is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage all commercial aspects of ICT and ELV systems. You will ensure accurate quantity takeoffs and coordinate financial reporting, working closely with project teams and clients. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in quantity surveying, especially in Airport projects, and demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Quantity Surveying with focus on Airport projects.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Specific experience with ICT and ELV systems is highly desirable.

Quantity Surveyor – Jazan

The ICT / ELV Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects related to ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems. This includes accurate quantity takeoff, preparation of the BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and preparation of Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) to support project execution and financial control.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for day-to-day tasks including cost control, preparation detailed and accurate quantity takeoffs / BOQ from drawings (SLDs, layouts, shop drawings), cost management, and cost reporting.
  • Track and analyze all commercial information related to the project, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs, to ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure that all client requirements are met.
  • Submitting regular budget reports.
  • Working at a client’s business, on a construction site.
  • Prepare IPCs based on site progress and agreed contract milestones.
  • Submit IPC documentation with required backup (e.g., marked‑up drawings, delivery notes, inspection reports).
  • Coordinate with site engineers and planners to verify installed quantities.
  • Liaise with the main contractor / client for verification and approval of IPCs.
  • Track certified vs. claimed values and ensure alignment with the contract terms.
  • Identify and quantify variations due to design changes, site conditions, or client instructions.
  • Maintain logs for takeoffs, variations, IPCs, and payment status.

  • Proven experience in Quantity Surveying, with a focus on Airport projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity takeoff tools (Bluebeam, Planswift, etc.).
  • Understanding of MIRs, WIR’s, IPA’s, VO calculations and submission will be preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelors or undergraduate degree in quantity surveying or any relevant discipline.
  • Specific experience with ICT and ELV systems is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 4-6 year experience needed.
