As a Quantity Surveyor Engineer you will be responsible for managing project costs, contracts, and financial planning to ensure efficiency and value across engineering and maintenance projects.

Key Accountabilities

The position involves:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction and maintenance projects.
  • Manage project finances, track variations, and control expenditures.
  • Review contracts, assess tenders, and negotiate terms with subcontractors.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure cost-effective execution.
  • Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies related to cost and scope.
  • Liaise with engineering, procurement, and planning teams to align costs with project goals.
  • Provide financial reports and forecasts to support decision-making.
  • Validate work completed before authorizing payments.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
  • Support claims management and dispute resolution regarding costs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are Looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying.
  • Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract management within large-scale maintenance or engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, material take-offs, and vendor/supplier coordination.
  • Proficient in MS Office and quantity surveying software such as CostX, Candy, or Primavera.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
