Quality Manager
Responsibilities:
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the QA/QC functions of the company.
- Manages the company Integrated Management System.
- Executes the company quality performance measurement tools for the company quality management system regarding product quality.
- Plans and conducts department and project internal audits and oversees follow-up and close-out of audit findings.
- Implements quality department key performance indicators.
- Coordinates with other functional managers to ensure correct implementation of project guidelines, client quality requirements and other related procedures.
- Ensures quality control activities are implemented throughout the company regarding product quality.
- Manages the QA review of milestone submittals of engineering design packages.
- Ensures that all design staff adhere to the Quality System in their preparation and checking of project deliverables.
- Coordinates and performs functional quality audits for the implementation of work processes and contract requirements and procedures.
- Ensures that all deliverables have been checked in accordance with the Quality System Procedures prior to allowing transmittal to the Client or third parties.
- Ensures project quality objectives are met.
- Assesses quality resources needs to execute the work.
- Implements the quality performance measurement tools set by the company.
- Reviews the Quality Management System and company policies and procedures to establish ways to increase effectiveness.
- Performs other duties assigned by the Quality Director.
AUTHORITY/LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to Quality Director
- Supervises quality engineers and internal auditors.
- Determines training and development needs of quality department members.
- Makes recommendations on staffing requirements.
- Approves timesheets.
Requirements:
- BS Engineering with 15 years of significant experience in engineering and/or construction industries, of which 8 years in oil/gas and petrochemical industry.
- Minimum 5 years experience in quality management in engineering.
- Has experience in quality assurance/quality control management on mega projects.
- Must have Lead Auditor Certificate for ISO 9001 latest edition.
- Has knowledge of quality methods, practices, international codes and standards, and procedures.
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent managerial and communication skills.
