Job description

Qiddiya Investment Company is excited to announce an opening for the position of Project Manager - Technical Design. In this role you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the technical design delivery process between multiple stakeholders during the design stages and phases through to implementation. This role requires an understanding of technical design, site processes, BIM, and digital delivery platforms.

The key is to ensure that design documentation, information flow between the Client, Lead Design Consultant, Management Contractor, and Construction Supervision Consultant are effectively managed and aligned with project objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate technical design delivery across all project parties following stages.
  • Manage and monitor the flow of design documentation on behalf of the Client.
  • Liaise with the Lead Design Consultant (LDC) to track progress of IFC documentation, including drawings, reports, and BIM models.
  • Collaborate with the Management Contractor to oversee subcontractor design deliverables and ensure effective management of Contractor Design Portions (CDP).
  • Interface with the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) to review and reconcile shop drawings and technical submissions against design intent.
  • Coordinating technical design workflows, maintaining document control interfaces, and ensuring alignment with project planning and scheduling.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and workshops between design and delivery stakeholders.
  • Oversee and actively use of Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Track design changes and maintain an up-to-date record of approved design deliverables.
Requirements
  • Understanding of RIBA Stage 4 technical design and documentation processes.
  • Familiarity with site processes and construction design coordination practices in the Middle East.
  • Practical knowledge of BIM site implementation.
  • Proficiency in Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and relevant CAD platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple interfaces and maintain design quality and intent throughout delivery.
