Job description

Responsibilities

The job holder is responsible for ensuring that all Pipes or Moulded fittings are manufactured in accordance to the standard specification using the approved Raw materials as per the BOM. Supervising the Machine section and directing subordinates to ensure work within production activity is carried out efficiently and procedurally compliant.

• Ensure that the section manufactures the quantities planned as per the job order to meet the specified standard.
• Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of production activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.
• Machine setup
• Ensure that all machines are operating satisfactorily and that regular maintenance is undertaken to avoid any breakdowns.
• Ensure that the correct Raw materials are used as per the specification and keep a better track to avoid Raw Material variation.
• Optimize production and minimize wastage.
• Control of staff
• Ensure all employees adhere to the H&S regulation, are well motivated and trained to perform to the required level of excellence.
• Policies & Procedures:
• Communicate the requirement of operational procedures and Instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
• Communicate with Maintenance
• Ensure in coordination with Maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
• Production work flow
• Reports any accidents, problems, mistakes or non-conformities faced during production to inform a superior and update records.
• Cleanliness / Safety
• Ensure that the area is kept clean at all times to comply with housekeeping regulations and that all relevant safety, quality, and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance are guaranteed.
• Ensure that no bulk materials are kept on the shop floor to avoid any accidents.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Required Qualifications:
Technical / High School

Preferred Experience:
4-5 years working in a plant set up.
