Job Title:Procurement Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Engineer to manage sourcing, procurement, and vendor coordination for materials and equipment related to steel products, aluminium, and heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent negotiation skills, and knowledge of the local and international supplier markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Source and procure materials, components, and equipment for construction and industrial projects involving steel, aluminium, and heavy machinery.

Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and compliance with project specifications.

Issue RFQs, analyze quotations, and prepare comparative statements.

Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions with vendors and subcontractors.

Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure material specifications and quantities are accurately met.

Track and monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and logistics arrangements.

Develop and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of critical items.

Ensure compliance with KSA procurement laws and internal policies.

Maintain procurement documentation for audit and project closeout purposes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or related field.

2 to 6 years of procurement experience in steel, aluminium, or heavy equipment industries.

Solid understanding of technical specifications and standards in the industry.

Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo) and MS Office Suite.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Familiarity with international trade and logistics processes is a plus.

Preferred Candidate:

Based in KSA.

Experience with large-scale construction or industrial projects.

Knowledge of KSA market and vendor ecosystem.
