Job description

Join our sales team to promote innovative care for people living with Obesity or Diabetes, using your pharmacy expertise to engage healthcare professionals and grow market access across Basra.

Your new role

As a Medical Representative in Basra, you will drive sales and customer engagement in your assigned territory. You will maintain a classified list of customers (physicians, pharmacists, hospitals, centers, etc.) that you will visit on a scheduled manner. You will directly report to District Sales Manager in Sales Department.

Your responsibilities
  • Promoting the products to the targeted group and ensuring physicians get full knowledge of the product. You will participate in conferences held locally.
  • Facilitating the order process among pharmacies, warehouses and distributors.
  • Reporting customer complaints and adverse events according to Novo Nordisk procedure.
  • Developing and executing sales plans to achieve targets, increase market share and respond to competitor activity.
  • Monitoring sales performance, analysing data and submitting regular reports with insights and actions.

Your skills & qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences and registered at Iraqi pharmacists syndicate.
  • 1–5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales or a related field; experience in diabetes/obesity is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic (spoken and written) and proficiency in English.
  • Strong customer‑facing skills, commercial acumen and negotiation ability.
  • Good time management, planning and analytical skills.
  • Adaptability, a problem‑solving mindset and the ability to work independently.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across functions.
