Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • 1.Material Planning & scheduling: Develop and maintain accurate material plans based on production schedules, forecasts, and customer demand. Monitor inventory levels and ensure the availability of materials to meet production schedules. Ensure decent levels of components required for production.
  • 2.Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Work with Procurement and track order status, ensuring that deliveries align with production schedules. Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • 3.Inventory Management: Develop and maintain accurate inventory forecasts and schedules based on production requirements and sales forecasts. Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent overstocking or stockouts. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • 4.Supplier Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. Resolve any issues related to material shortages, delays, or quality concerns. Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to procurement teams.
  • 5.Demand Forecasting: Analyze sales forecasts and customer orders to anticipate material needs. Adjust material planning based on changes in customer demand or production schedules. Participate in regular meetings with operations, Sales forecasting, production, and procurement teams to align on priorities.
  • 6.Production Scheduling: Work closely with the production team to understand material requirements and adjust procurement strategies as needed. Ensure that material availability aligns with production schedules to avoid disruptions. Communicate any material constraints or shortages to relevant stakeholders.
  • 7.Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze material usage and demand trends to forecast future requirements. Prepare and present reports on inventory levels, procurement status, and supplier performance. Utilize SAP system to track and manage materials.
  • 8.Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards. Maintain accurate records of material transactions, supplier communications, and inventory data.
Qualifications
  • 1.Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, or a related field.
  • 2.Experience in Supply Chain management. Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3.Experience: Maximum of [5] years of experience in materials planning, procurement, or a related role, preferably within the HVAC or manufacturing industry.
