Marketing materials and client alerts
- Supporting the regional MBD team in the production of marketing collateral, including office brochures/practice experience statements.
- Supporting the regional MBD team and local office managers to ensure a constant supply of branded items are available for use across the region.
- Supporting the MBD team in the production/delivery/internal promotion of both Saudi-specific and region-wide client alerts.
Internal and External Communications
- Working with the Saudi MBD Manager/regional MBD Managers/FEs/Accounts team to collate contributions for internal newsletters and reports.
- Supporting the Saudi MBD Manager to source/coordinate external-facing profile raising/PR opportunities, including internal profiling of successes and maintaining the regional media database.
- Working with the MBD team to ensure that the firm website is up to date and is used effectively to support the development of firm profile and as a springboard for the firm's online profile.
Events and seminars/conferences
- Supporting client events from start to finish and working closely with the Saudi MBD Manager and the Events Executive to deliver top quality events.
- Working with the MBD team and FEs to manage the client database/facilitate the correct use of InterAction in supporting events, providing training/ support as required.
- Source and negotiate corporate hospitality options as appropriate and work closely with the MBD Managers to deliver local hospitality/cross-selling initiatives.
Pitching and market intelligence
- Working with the MBD Managers to support pitches/proposals and managing experience statements, including liaising with the global MBD team with regard to regional/global pitch/experience requests.
- Working with the MBD team and secretaries/FEs to ensure that all regional FEs CVs are up to date, including providing training to secretaries.
- Working with the MBD Managers to support research via the internet/business intelligence resources, on existing/prospective clients/potential opportunities industry and/or market trends.
- Working with the Saudi MBD Manager to develop/coordinate/maintain/ disseminate sector focused reports.
Projects
- Legal directories - working closely with the MBD team lead to support the legal directory process, including updating rankings and ensuring most current quotes are available to the MBD team for pitch support.
- BD initiatives - working closely with the MBD Managers to support key regional cross-selling initiatives, including but not limited to tracking/coordinating memberships.
Miscellaneous
- Ensuring relevant MBD databases are up to date, including but not limited to: Awards & Accolades, Collateral, Credentials, Events, PR and Pitch databases.
- Supporting strategic internal events including practice group/regional fee earner retreats.
- Supporting regional practices/offices BDM invoicing management and budgeting support.
Language Capabilities
- One/Two+ years' marketing/business development experience
- Experience working in a law firm or professional consultancy firm is preferred.
- An appreciation of a partnership environment and specific issues affecting the delivery of legal services.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in both English and Arabic.
- Experience in using databases and a good level of technical competence in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Exceptional eye for detail and strong project management skills
- A pro‑active approach, self‑motivated and able to demonstrate determination and persistence.
- Good team player, flexible with the ability to work in a deadline and pressure‑driven environment
- A Marketing/Business qualification is preferred.
