Job Scope

The IT Security Engineer is accountable for designing, building and enforcing policies and protocols that protect the organization’s computing infrastructure from all forms of threats. S/He provides the organization with advanced solution on cyber threats and helps create strategies to protect network from breaches.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor networks and systems from intrusions and anomalous behavior
• Develop plans to respond, recover and mitigate emerging threats and attacks and report to direct manager
• Source and implement new security solutions to better protect the organization
• Install and use firewalls, data encryption and other security products and procedures
• Conduct periodic network scans and testing for exploitable weaknesses and threats
• Work with internal stakeholders on preventing and mitigating emerging threats
• Lead incident response and conduct technical investigations in case of a breach and related damages
• Provide training on information security standards, policies and best practices

Position Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or any other related field
