Job Description – Government Relations Supervisor Position Summary

The Government Relations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and executing all governmental processes required for hotel operations, employee onboarding, licensing, visas, and regulatory compliance. The role ensures smooth communication with governmental authorities and timely completion of all statutory requirements in full compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Visas:
    • Process and track work visas, work permits, and residency renewals (Iqama).
    • Handle high-volume visa processing during pre-opening periods.
    • Manage platforms: Qiwa, Muqeem, Absher Business, GOSI, Madad.
    • Coordinate employee arrivals, exit/re-entry permits, and onboarding requirements.
    • Resolve issues related to immigration, visas, and labor contracts.
  2. Government Licensing & Hotel Approvals:
    • Support obtaining and renewing Ministry of Tourism licenses (pre-opening & final classification).
    • Maintain Municipality permits for hotel facilities.
    • Assist in licensing restaurants, spa, gym, laundry, marine activities, etc.
    • Ensure guest rooms meet operational and safety requirements.
    • Coordinate inspections with relevant authorities.
  3. Civil Defense & Safety Compliance:
    • Support Fire Life Safety requirements.
    • Coordinate Civil Defense inspections and document submissions.
    • Ensure compliance with corrective actions.
  4. Food Safety & Health Regulations:
    • Obtain SFDA permits for food operations.
    • Ensure food outlets meet hygiene and food safety regulations.
    • Process Food Handler Certificates and Balady Food Handler Cards.
    • Coordinate inspections from health authorities.
  5. Government Platforms & Compliance:
    • Maintain employee records on Qiwa, GOSI, Muqeem, and Absher Business.
    • Monitor compliance with Saudi labor laws.
    • Prepare letters, reports, and required submissions.
  6. Employee Support & HR Coordination:
    • Assist employees with Iqama issuance and renewal.
    • Support bank letters, traffic violations, and government appointments.
    • Coordinate onboarding and exit processes with HR.
  7. Stakeholder & Government Relations:
    • Maintain strong relationships with governmental entities.
    • Represent the hotel professionally at all times.
    • Ensure timely resolution of government-related issues.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Government Relations in KSA (preferably hospitality).
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi labor law, visas, and immigration processes.
  • Proficiency in Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI, Absher, Balady, and SFDA systems.
  • Strong communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to work under pressure, especially during pre-opening phases.
