What You Will Do
  • Provide calibration and repair capability in support of all electronic test measurement and diagnostic equipment covered under the currently approved TAA.
  • Provide training to laboratory and site personnel on new equipment, as required.
  • Calibrate and/or repair electronic test measurement and diagnostic equipment supported by the calibration laboratory that are covered under the currently approved TAA.
  • Help develop new procedures and methods of performing calibration on new equipment using the standards available in the calibration facility.
  • Perform precision calibration of state‑of‑the‑art electronic equipment as required.
  • Develop test jigs, fixtures and special test setups for calibration of newly acquired or special purpose equipment when required.
  • Provide on‑the‑job training (OJT) for technicians in electronic theory, the use of electronic standards and their application to equipment calibration.
  • Make site visits for training, evaluation and technical assistance as needed.
  • Assist the section officer in enforcing safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed by the section officer.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Strong background in digital electronics and RF / Microwave.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in calibration of electronic equipment.
  • Deep understanding of the principles and concepts related to measurement, calibration, and instrumentation.
  • Meticulous in work, follows established procedures, documents work, and ensures measurements are accurate and reliable.
  • Proficient in using computers and various software applications related to the work.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Familiar with various types of measuring equipment and understanding of their operation, maintenance, and calibration requirements.
  • A strong foundation in mathematics for calculations and interpretation of numerical data to ensure accuracy of measurements and calibrations.
Education
  • Bachelors or Associate Degree with 4 years of related experience.
  • Equivalent electronic experience on the basis of two (2) additional years of experience for each one (1) year of higher education.

  • The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate.
