The opportunity

EY is seeking a Data Protection & Privacy Consultant to join our Forensics & Integrity Services (FIS) team in Riyadh. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse client portfolio, expanding your knowledge in data privacy. It is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in consulting, work on various projects, and support junior team members.

Your key responsibilities

You will manage and support data privacy and protection projects, staying updated on global data protection regulations, policies, and procedures. You will lead client communications, ensure timely delivery of high-quality reports, and assist in managing project finances. Building and maintaining relationships with clients and internal teams, you will contribute to operational efficiencies and project completion.

You will support clients across areas such as:

  • Data protection assessments and maturity evaluations
  • Data mapping and classification
  • Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA)
  • Records of Processing Activities (RoPA)
  • Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR)
  • Development of data privacy policies and target operating models
  • Data retention, backup, and archival processes
  • Implementation of data protection technologies like encryption and pseudonymisation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience designing and implementing data protection technologies
  • Knowledge of privacy and security risk assessments
  • Understanding of international and GCC data protection laws and standards
  • Familiarity with Governance, Risk & Compliance in Information Security
  • Ability to analyze client processes and tailor privacy solutions
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders on privacy issues
  • Experience integrating data protection solutions into client infrastructure
