Qualifications

Job Summary

As a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Consultant, provides expert evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for mental health disorders in children and adolescents, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal emotional and psychological well-being.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides high-quality child and adolescent psychiatric care to patients in this area of medicine.
  • Provide consultative service as requested.
  • Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
  • Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise and participates in research activities.
  • Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
  • Performs special procedures as privileged.
  • Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
  • Completion of required period of training in psychiatry/ Child and Adolescent psychiatry.
  • American Board/MRCPCH- Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian & New Zealand/DES/CIS/ Diplome di Medico Specialist Italy / SCR Holland/ Swedish Board/ German Facharzt/ Austrian Facharzt/ CCST UK/ Saudi Board/ Arab Board & sub board/ Fellowship.
  • Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required.
  • A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
  • Dataflow is a must.
Professional Experience
  • Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in psychiatry/ Child and Adolescent psychiatry
  • A registered member of the Saudi Board Council
Language
  • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
