Job description
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth and restructuring goals.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and project finance.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, cost monitoring, and financial discipline across projects.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity for ongoing projects.
  • Oversee project cost controls and contract accounting in alignment with construction industry standards.
Reporting & Compliance
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and Saudi regulations (ZATCA, VAT, WHT, GAZT, etc.).
  • Present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management and the Board.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, zakat requirements, and statutory audits.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
  • Work closely with project managers and operations to ensure accurate cost tracking and profitability.
  • Act as the primary contact for auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
  • Support the CEO and Board with strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
  • 10–15 years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the construction industry in Saudi Arabia or GCC.
  • Strong knowledge of project-based accounting, cost control, and cash flow management.
  • Solid understanding of Saudi tax, zakat, VAT, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in restructuring, financial turnaround, and working with banks.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
