Buyer Planner

Overview:
The Buyer Planner is responsible for managing the procurement and planning of materials to ensure that inventory levels meet production and operational needs. This role plays a key part in maintaining a smooth supply chain, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely availability of materials for manufacturing or business operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute purchasing plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production schedules
  • Procure goods and materials locally and internationally, ensuring best pricing, quality, and delivery terms
  • Generate and process purchase orders using the company’s procurement system; track and monitor order status to ensure timely delivery
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to align material supply with operational requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, inventory status, and supplier information
  • Analyze supplier performance and market trends; negotiate contracts and establish payment terms with vendors
  • Audit and evaluate vendor agreements; ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes and inventory management
  • Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing, inventory, and supplier performance to management
  • Support customs clearance and logistics processes for imported goods as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain planning role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics)
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles, demand forecasting, and supplier relationship management
  • Familiarity with Saudi customs clearance, VAT laws, and import/export procedures is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills; fluency in English required
  • Saudi nationality required (per Saudization policies).
