Job purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Warranty Technician. The main responsibilities of this role include implementing effective solutions for quality issues related to warranty claims and assembly plants.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze product returns due to quality issues in warranty or plant and prepare analysis reports.
• Manage the warranty database for domestic and international returns.
• Process warranty claims with domestic customers.
• Participate in Quality Review Board projects with the multidisciplinary team for assigned issues as part of warranty reduction initiatives.
• Monitor and follow up on established gates for warranty issues.
• Communicate with domestic customers and internal BorgWarner teams to provide responses regarding warranty-related problems in our products.
• Control “production checks” sent to corporate and follow up on identified findings

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience Qualifications

• Schooling: Incomplete degree or similar in Mechanical, Electronic or Electric Engineering, or related technical degree
• Experience Time in similar position: 2 years or more in a similar position.
• Technical knowledge required: Poka-Yokes, Manufacturing Processes, FMEA, GD&T, Weibull Analysis, CQI-14
• Other requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Quality Systems (IATF) & Environmental ISO 14001, Statistical Methods, Problem-Solving Techniques, Fixture Design
