Lead and strategically coordinate all warehouse operations—including raw materials and finished goods—to ensure timely supply, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and on-time shipments. This role drives continuous improvement, enforces compliance with internal policies and safety standards, and collaborates with cross-functional areas to meet plant objectives.
- Lead operations for receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping, aligned with production and customer requirements.
- Supervise warehouse supervisors, ensuring team alignment, development, and performance against KPIs.
- Ensure robust inventory control through accurate cycle counts (ABC), root cause analysis of variances, and authorized adjustments.
- Maintain compliance with FIFO policies, chemical expiration controls, E&O metrics (excess and obsolete), and efficient space utilization.
- Coordinate layout and capacity planning for all warehouse areas, including implementation of process and flow improvements.
- Oversee daily shipping activities, finished goods transactions (e.g., SAGE), and customer order fulfillment.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing, and Quality to ensure material availability and operational alignment.
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance with all regulatory requirements (quality, safety, environment).
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement using Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in warehouse or materials management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing both hourly staff and supervisors with a strong coaching and leadership approach.
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and inventory control skills; advanced Excel skills required, Power BI is a plus.
- APICS, Lean, or Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, depending on the corporate environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, decision-making ability, and hands-on leadership.
