This role focuses on developing and coordinating training initiatives for both internal teams and healthcare professionals. Candidates should have over 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare, and be fluent in English and Spanish. Formación

A Day in the Life

The Principal Training/Ed Specialist is the OU/therapy/Business expert for training subjects. Partners with OU marketing, Medical Science and global OU to standardize, localize and adapt product and therapy training for internal and external audiences.

This person will be responsible for internal training programs and will support Medical Education activities for HCP when necessary. This role will implement training and ensuring daily tasks are accomplished, interacting with both the field team and HCP to communicate information vital to the training process, and implementing and following up on projects related to training and education. This person executes the product Training program for Medtronic employees, distributors, and HCPs, coordinates, and implements training and education projects related to the team and to HCPs itself, interacts with various departments on a regular basis, troubleshoots issues as necessary, and implements ways of improving and making processes more efficient.

As principal Specialist may support the manager on team management tasks when required. The position will be located at LATAM in a hybrid model.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
  • Plans, develops and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers
  • Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids
  • Ensures training program(s) meets company and customer objectives.
  • Maintains communication with customers to ensure the effectiveness of training.
  • Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date
  • Facilitates customized training and education programs for Medical and Academic Professionals on diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, to increase procedural, technology, and product adoption to improve patient outcomes
  • Participates in conventions, forums, symposia educational content, and scientific education programming meetings for promoting product and procedural awareness
  • Conducts/Facilitates physician‑led education and consulting, support establishment and maintenance of customer relations with clinicians and organizations. May utilize trainers with technical expertise
  • Access and determine educational gaps in the employee journey to address certification pathways for sales and clinical teams
  • Be involved in the interview process when choosing speakers
  • Supports the internal processes by having information and documents ready for internal and external events adhering to the company´s policies
Required Knowledge and Experience:
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in training and education, preferably in healthcare and medical devices, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Neurovascular. Surgical experience covering cases with strong clinical background.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently and deliver results.
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills in English on a daily basis both written and spoken.
  • Team player, passion for continuous learning autonomously and helping others grow.
  • Strong facilitation skills and can utilize digital learning tools is a plus.
  • MS Office knowledge.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, medicine, nursing or related field.
  • Position based in Latin American countries
