Formación

We were looking for a social-native video editor; someone who lives on TikTok and Reels, understands Gen Z culture, and instinctively gets the tone, pacing, and strategy behind content that actually performs. Ideally, you're not just an editor, but also a content creator yourself; someone who experiments with trends, understands what hooks an audience, and knows how to make content feel fresh, relevant, and platform-native.

You should be obsessed with how social formats evolve, especially founder-led and thought-leadership content. This isn't about basic reels or chasing trends. It's about knowing what works, why it works, and how to turn that into clean, compelling edits that feel both intentional and culturally fluent. We're looking for someone bold in their creative decisions, someone who's not afraid to push limits, experiment with structure, and bring a distinct point of view to every video.

If you follow and understand creators like Wisdom Kaye, Steven Bartlett, Alex Hormozi, MrBeast, Jay Shetty, eugbrandstrat, madison.utendahl, Codie Sanchez, Scott Galloway, theburnouts or Sophia Amoruso; and you're tuned into how artists like Dua Lipa, Rosalía, Charli XCX shape culture through visuals, rhythm, and style, you're likely aligned with the creative direction we're aiming for.

These creators aren't just references; their content, tone, and editorial structure represent the standard we want to reflect and evolve. You don't need to follow them all, but you should understand why their content performs, the editorial frameworks behind it, and how they build influence through story, rhythm, and consistency. If you can translate that level of creativity, precision, and cultural awareness into your edits, then you might be the editor we're looking for.

We're not looking for a basic editor. We want someone curious, plugged in, creatively confident, and able to bring artistic and strategic clarity to every project; someone who can pitch, refine, and deliver ideas that feel fresh and intentional. Key Responsibilities
Short-Form Video Editing
  • Turn long‑form content (podcasts, interviews, Zoom calls) into native short‑form clips for TikTok/IG.
  • Edit dynamic, emotionally engaging videos that feel made for the feed, not repurposed from YouTube.
  • Add captions, music, text overlays, animations, and transitions aligned with brand and platform trends.
  • Format all videos for 9:16 vertical, mobile‑first viewing, optimized for scroll‑stopping impact.
Trend‑Driven Content Ideation & Repurposing
  • Stay ahead of TikTok/IG trends, editing styles, and emerging formats.
  • Remix and repurpose long‑form content into short‑form ideas with a clear hook and narrative.
  • Pitch content ideas, POVs, and formats based on cultural relevance and platform language.
  • Source trending audio, meme overlays, and creative inspiration to elevate every edit.
Creative Judgment & Brand Alignment
  • Understand and interpret the tone, voice, and positioning of each client.
  • Edit in a way that enhances speaker delivery, emotional beats, and narrative arcs.
  • Identify standout moments and recommend the best application (Reel, Meme, Remix, etc.).
  • Ensure edits remain on‑brand and in sync with creative direction.
Workflow & Delivery
  • Deliver 10‑12 high‑quality clips per week with fast turnaround and clean delivery.
  • Collaborate in ClickUp and Frame.io; maintain organized, named exports and versions.
  • Receive and apply direct feedback quickly; iterate efficiently without losing creativity.
  • Use AI tools (cut detection, subtitles, highlight detection) to speed up your workflow and sharpen output.
Founder Mode & AI‑Immersed Editing
  • Leverage AI tools to streamline workflows, speed up editing, and enhance creative output (e.g., auto‑captioning, trend analysis, cut detection).
  • Act with ownership and initiative – propose edits, pitch ideas, and make strategic decisions without waiting for direction.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with producers, designers, and strategists to align on creative goals and improve content performance.
  • Contribute trend insights, editing innovations, and platform learnings to the broader creative team.
What You Bring

  • 2+ years editing short‑form video (TikTok/Reels/Shorts).
  • Deep fluency in TikTok culture, trends, and platform language.
  • Strong creative taste, editorial and storytelling instincts.
  • Ability to defend creative choices and articulate reasoning.
  • Boldness to experiment, innovate, and break formats.
  • Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, subtitles, transitions, and retention tools.
  • Comfortable taking direct feedback and iterating quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple edits and deadlines independently.
  • Strong communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience editing for digital creators, thought leaders, or social media brands.
  • Background working with podcasts and transforming long‑form content into short clips.
  • Knowledge of meme culture and remix trends.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus.
