Role: Shipping Plan Coordinator
Hours: 8am - 5pm Eastern Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
The Shipping Plan Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all shipping activities to ensure smooth and timely dispatch of customer and wholesale orders. This role bridges the gap between operations, warehouse teams, and logistics partners, ensuring orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic eCommerce environment with multiple moving parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily and weekly shipping schedules based on order volume, inventory availability, and carrier capacity.
- Communicate shipping plans and timelines with the warehouse, fulfillment, and logistics partners.
- Ensure on-time dispatch and delivery of all customer and marketplace orders.
- Review and verify shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and labels.
- Track and monitor in-transit shipments, resolving any delays, damages, or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with inventory and procurement teams to align shipping plans with stock levels and replenishment schedules.
- Maintain and update shipping records in the company’s ERP or order management system.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on shipping performance, carrier efficiency, and cost trends.
- Support process improvements in logistics and shipping workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Liaise with courier partners and 3PLs to resolve operational or billing issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in shipping coordination, logistics, or supply chain operations (preferably in eCommerce or retail).
- Familiarity with shipping software, order management systems, or ERP tools (e.g., Shopify, NetSuite, ShipStation, EasyPost, etc.).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets for tracking and reporting.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience working with international shipping and customs documentation.
- Knowledge of last-mile delivery operations and courier performance tracking.
- Familiarity with inventory planning and warehouse processes.
- Understanding of eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, etc.).
