A leading web technology company in Monterrey, Nuevo León is seeking an experienced engineer to contribute to their Hosting team. You will design and maintain scalable architecture, develop high quality code, and work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product features. Ideal candidates will have significant experience with scripting languages and databases, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to collaborate globally.

Formación

• 5-8 years of engineering & development related experience.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful services.
• Understanding of Public Cloud, IAC, DevOps is a plus.

Responsabilidades

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.

• Be a key contributor on the Hosting team to design, build and maintain long-term, scalable architecture
• Build and maintain solutions around shared, WordPress, VPS and Dedicated hosting
• Work closely with the System Operations team to ensure optimal performance of hosting services
• As part of a cross-functional, full stack scrum team provide contribute to the development of new features
• Contribute to the development of new product features
• Participate in technical design discussions
• Develop high quality, maintainable code with appropriate unit test and automation coverage using such technologies as Perl, Python, Other scripting languages
• Ensure high quality standards are maintained throughout the codebase by being an active participant in code reviews

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed.

• Bachelors or master’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering. (B.E., B.Sc. I.T, MSc Comp, MCA etc.).
• Proficient in English
• 5-8 years of engineering & development related experience
• Expert experience with scripting languages like Perl, Python, Php, Ruby, Shell etc
• Strong experience with Oracle, MySQL or a relational database
• Experience designing and developing RESTful services
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Git, Jenkins
• Work with teams across time zones so will be expected to login early Argentina time

Other Skills and Qualities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Very solid knowledge of the software development process
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Understanding of Public Cloud, IAC, DevOps, etc will be added advantage
• Adapts quickly to environment and leverages relationships
• Self-motivated individual who proactively identifies team bottlenecks and works with the team to resolve them
• Experience with payment/billing system a plus
