Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior HR Consultant to lead a critical transformation project.
This is not a standard HR generalist role.
We need a functional architect and strategist capable of bridging the gap between Cybersecurity, Learning & Development (LMS), and Core HR (Workday).
You will play a pivotal role in an engagement designed to turn security awareness activity into usable HR risk and compliance data.
Project Context The client is building a "future-ready" integration that standardizes data from Proofpoint (Security Awareness) through their current LMS (SumTotal) into Workday.
The goal is to create a stateless middleware solution that abstracts mappings so the same pattern can work with future LMS platforms (specifically Cornerstone or Workday Learning).
Key Responsibilities
- Competency Modeling & Data Mapping Design Frameworks : Shape and approve a starter L1 / L2 / L3 + soft-skills competency model tied specifically to security and risk awareness behaviors.
- Strategic Mapping : Map these competencies and training activities to specific Job Families, Roles, and the Pilot Cohort within Workday.
- Data Dictionary : Create a comprehensive data dictionary that supports HR, Security, Compliance, and Audit requirements, ensuring all data fields are clearly defined and standardized.
- Functional Integration & Future-Readiness Requirements Gathering : Define specific HR outcomes and reporting needs. Specify exactly what HR Business Partners, leaders, and auditors need to see in Workday dashboards.
- Scalability Playbooks : Develop a "Future LMS" playbook and a standard vendor questionnaire to ensure that as the client moves from SumTotal to Cornerstone (or others), the integration remains intact.
- Validation : Review integration flows to ensure they meet strict privacy standards (minimal PII, no PHI) and validate PoC test results from an HR functional perspective.
- Change Management & Governance Adoption Strategy : Lead the HR side of change management. Identify pilot cohorts and align expectations with People Leaders and HRBPs.
- Communications : Author and co-author FAQs, manager guidance, and employee communications on how to interpret new "Risk & Compliance" data in their Workday profiles.
- Governance : Represent HR in cross-functional design sessions with IT, Security, and Legal to ensure compliance with retention and evidence policies.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in HRIS consulting, HR Transformation, or Learning & Development operations.
- Deep functional knowledge of Workday (specifically HCM and Learning / Competency modules).
- Strong familiarity with enterprise LMS platforms, specifically Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) and / or SumTotal.
- Proven experience creating competency models and mapping learning outcomes to HR data structures.
- Previous experience working with Healthcare or highly regulated industries (Biotech, Pharma, Finance) due to PII / PHI sensitivity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Proofpoint or similar cybersecurity awareness platforms.
- Background in integration projects involving middleware or data abstraction layers.
- Experience working in a consulting capacity for Fortune 500 clients.
Deliverables
- Approved HR Competency Framework & Role Mapping.
- HR Reporting Requirements & Evidence Validation.
- Integration Playbook (HR Process & Approvals sections).
