Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer with at least 5 years of experience to join our Application Development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications, with a strong focus on integrating with our Ceph-based cloud infrastructure for GotBackup’s backup platform. You will play a key role in the full software development lifecycle, from designing and coding to testing, deployment, and ongoing support, ensuring our platform remains robust and user-centric.

Key Responsibilities

• Full Lifecycle Development: Participate in the analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, deployment, and support of software for GotBackup’s cloud platform.
• Application Development: Design and develop secure, scalable web applications, APIs, and services using modern frameworks, optimized for our Ceph-based infrastructure.
• Cloud Integration: Architect and implement solutions that leverage our custom Ceph cloud storage for efficient data backup, retrieval, and management.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices for scalability, extensibility, and security.
• Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize application performance across the full stack, including database queries, API responses, and front-end rendering, with a focus on Ceph storage interactions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and infrastructure engineers, to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends and propose innovative solutions to enhance GotBackup’s platform capabilities, particularly for Ceph-based storage.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Full Stack Developer, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Technical Skills:
  • Front-End: Proficiency in JavaScript with experience in building responsive and intuitive user interfaces. Experience with TypeScript and at least one of the major frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) is required. Knowledge of jQuery is a plus.
  • Back-End: Solid expertise in PHP is the primary requirement. Additional experience in server-side technologies like Node.js is also necessary. Knowledge of Python and/or Golang is a plus.
  • Database: Hands-on experience with relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), with an understanding of storage integration with Ceph.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Experience working with Ceph-based storage systems, including knowledge of distributed storage, object storage, and block storage.
  • DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools for managing custom cloud environments.
  • Security: Knowledge of secure coding practices, encryption, and compliance standards relevant to cloud storage (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with Ceph-based cloud storage, including configuration, optimization, or integration with applications.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems integrated with distributed storage.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio showcasing full-stack development with storage solutions.
• Knowledge of enterprise application architecture and scalability challenges in custom cloud environments.
• Experience with backup or storage platforms similar to GotBackup.
