A global market research firm in Mexico City is looking for an Associate Consultant to transform data into valuable insights for clients. You'll engage with clients, conduct primary research, and prepare strategic reports to enhance client understanding. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, fluency in English, and familiarity with data tools like Power BI and Tableau. Purpose of the role
The Associate Consultant transforms data estimates into a valuable output for clients, incorporating local industry insight and expertise to create compelling narratives. This role involves regular client engagement, building and sustaining strong relationships, and identifying opportunities to turn client needs into new business growth.
DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Collaborates with commercial teams to build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, serving as the research lead.
· Partners with the Client Service team to transform client queries into new opportunities, fostering deeper engagement and driving 'virtuous circle' outcomes.
· Engages in communications and PR efforts, including participation in conferences, contributing to trade publications, and representing the company in Passport Plus engagements.
· Conducts primary research to gather critical industry insights, facilitating high-value exchanges that strengthen mutually beneficial relationships.
· Shares findings from primary research and client interactions with Regional research teams, analysing impacts on large datasets like market sizes, brand shares, and distribution data.
· Prepares detailed reports that inform strategic decision-making for clients.
· Provides data-driven insights, offering tailored narratives that enhance client understanding and reinforce confidence in our research.
Skills, knowledge and experience
· Curiosity with a passion for learning, problem-solving, and making a difference combined with flexibility, the ability to embrace diversity and be adaptable to change
· Analytical with strong problem-solving skills, process oriented and quick learner
· Excellent communicator with good listening skills and an openness to new ideas
· Team player with a collaborative and transparent approach, capable of working in a global environment
· Proficiency in English (with other languages an advantage), combined with a high level of numeracy and the confidence to engage trade sources for additional insights
· Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel, with experience of tools such as Power BI and Tableau
