Freelance SAP Payroll Implementation Lead – 12-Month Contract – $500 / day – Fully Remote

My client, a leading global payroll and HR technology consultancy, is seeking an experienced SAP Payroll Implementation Lead working with payroll Mexico, to join a long-term freelance engagement.

This fully remote role involves collaborating with international teams to deliver high-quality payroll solutions for clients across diverse industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead client workshops to gather payroll requirements and support system configuration and setup
• Validate and configure SAP payroll solutions, ensuring full compliance with Mexican legislation
• Support data migration activities, including mapping, YTD preparation, and accuracy checks
• Manage SIT and UAT phases, troubleshooting issues with global technical teams
• Oversee go-live activities and ensure smooth deployment
• Maintain project documentation and support progress tracking with project managers

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Mexican payroll and time regulations
• Proven experience configuring and integrating SAP payroll systems
• Good English and Spanish, with excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Experience working on international payroll projects (a plus)
• A proactive, hands-on mindset and the ability to collaborate with global teams
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
