Remote Care Specialist – Monterrey, Mexico
About the Role
We are seeking a Remote Care Specialist with an MD degree (earned in Mexico) to join our team. In this role, you will support licensed practitioners by providing real-time documentation and coordination during medical visits. Your medical background will help ensure accuracy in records, diagnoses, and treatment plans—allowing providers to focus fully on patient care.
This is a remote, non-patient-facing position based in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
- Review patient records prior to visits (reason for visit, history, test results).
- Document visits and procedures in real time with accuracy and detail.
- Record diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, referrals, and follow-ups.
- Support computerized order entry and update visit statuses.
- Facilitate communication between provider and patient when interpretation is needed.
- Train newly hired medical scribes as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- MD degree (Mexico) – required.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation.
- Excellent computer and phone skills; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong typing, writing, and redaction skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA standards and confidentiality best practices.
- Commitment of at least one year.
- Availability to travel occasionally if needed.
