We are currently seeking a diligent and experienced Real Estate Fund Accountant to join our dynamic team in Mexico City.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive accounting functions for multiple private equity funds, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain precise and current financial records for a diverse portfolio of multifamily properties.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and collaborate closely with tax professionals to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with external property accountants, property management firms, and fund administrators to facilitate seamless financial reporting and intercompany reconciliation.
- Aid in budgeting and forecasting for property operations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Ensure strict adherence to accounting standards and best practices, identifying and implementing process enhancements for improved efficiency and precision.
- Offer support for ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.
- Assist in the preparation of capital calls, distributions, and partner's capital statements.
- Review and supervise related schedules, including property insurance and taxes, depreciation, etc.
- Serve as a point of contact for external auditors during audit processes.
- Manage the submission of wires, ACHs, and internal bank transfers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Preference for USGAAP proficiency).
- 2-4 years of accounting experience within the real estate sector is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains is advantageous.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong comprehension of financial reporting, tax compliance, and intercompany accounting.
- Impeccable attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Effective communication skills, able to interact harmoniously with individuals at all levels within the organization and external entities.
