Job Title: Quality Superintendent
Reports to: Quality Manager
Work Location: Ramos Arizpe. Coahuila México
As a Quality Superintendent you support in planning, structuring, and implementing methods and actions to ensure quality in production processes. Quality and engineering through compliance with established quality standards (IATF and customer specifications) to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Take into account the customer’s needs, including the selection of special characteristics, the establishment of quality objectives and related information, corrective and preventive actions, and the design and development of the product.
- Design continuous improvement systems to streamline quality processes.
- Support the strategies and action plans for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Quality Assurance.
- Coordinate the Motus Quality “Culture.”
- Lead the development of the quality system’s subsystems and procedures.
- Develop and implement the objectives of your functional area.
- Monitor compliance with the objectives of the Quality function.
- Keep your area informed of business results and goal attainment.
- Lead TPPM meetings
- Manage month-end closing reports (RMAs, containment costs, etc.).
- Lead your Quality Focus meetings and attend your customers’ meetings (internal and external).
- Represent the “voice of the customer” to negotiate material acceptance based on differing criteria, in cases where materials are evaluated visually.
- Conduct process audits and LPAs according to the monthly audit plan.
- Contribute to ensuring compliance with the established quality and environmental policy and objectives.
- Ensure that personnel comply with the Procedures, Instructions, and other documents of the Quality and Environmental Management System.
- Generate the necessary corrective and/or preventive actions to ensure consistency with the QMS and Environmental Management System.
- Review and, if necessary, modify the respective QMS and environmental documents.
- Assist in identifying environmental aspects and impacts.
Experience Required
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the Automotive Interiors Industry
- IATF
- PPAPs
- APQP
- Leadership
- 90% English proficiency (preferably with a valid passport and visa).
- Experience in managing clients in the U.S. Ford, GM, and others.
- Knowledge of cutting, sewing, and plastic injection processes
