A leading manufacturing firm located in Nuevo León is seeking a Production Superintendent for the 2nd Shift. This role requires coordinating production teams and interacting with various support functions to ensure safety and quality delivery. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have 3-5 years of supervisory experience with strong bilingual communication skills. Continuous improvement and effective leadership are essential to meet production goals.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Production Superintendent (2nd Shift).

What you’ll do:

Job Summary

  • Lead and coordinate the production teams from Feeders area to Final Assembly area of Bravos Plant. Interface closely with all manufacturing support functions, including Manufacturing Engineering, Testing Engineering, Automation Engineering, Maintenance, Tool Room, Production Planning, Materials Management, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, MESH, etc. and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure Safety, Quality Specs, Delivery, Inventory and cost.
  • Promote and lead the mindset change from project environment to production environment across the Bravos Plant.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of supervisors and collaborators to comply the goals of the Hi5 metrics: TRCR, CONC, OTD, DOH and Flex Productivity.
  • Must understand and act within the Eaton Leadership model.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for all production activities across multiple production areas (Feeders/final Assembly) and accept accountability for delivering the Key Performance Goals/Targets established.
  • Serve as an integral member of the extended Staff Team and contribute to the development of the Site’s Strategies and annual goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and control the KPI's of the production areas (FPY, Production Plan adherence, hourly rate, Efficiency, downtime) and act as needed.
  • Team of her/his peers on the Eaton Bravos Site Team, aligning on strategies, tactics, and actions needed to achieve the Hi5 metrics goals.
  • Understand and adhere to Eaton EBS and all EQMS and MESH company policies, procedures, etc.
  • Help improve performance through Lean initiatives participating on RIE, SUR workshop, Yellow/Green Belts projects.
  • Guide and support the supervisor’s team on personnel administration topics and/or technical knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain plans and strategies and to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Define the goals and objectives for his/her direct reports with supporting Key Performance Indicators (TRCR, CONC, OTD, DOH, and Flex Productivity)
  • Promote talent by developing individual growth and development plans and organizational succession plans.
  • Model an open and inclusive communication style at the daily production Tier meetings, weekly output meetings, weekly planning meetings, and in the monthly SIOP meeting.
  • Ensure one/one time with his/her direct reports, twice per month, to monitor performance and check in on progress to Individual Development Plans.
  • Participate actively during site visits and audits (MESH, OPA, ISO9001;2015, etc).
  • Perform other duties, as needed and as directed.
Qualifications:
Education level
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or any management related subject
Years and area of experience
  • 3 - 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Technical knowledge
  • Bilingual Spanish and English
  • Basic knowledge Technical subjects.
  • Basic Knowledge and experience with automation and stamping processes.
  • Basic Knowledge of precise measure equipment.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Office knowledge (Excel, Power Point, Word).
  • Knowledge in ERP sistems.
  • Basic Knowledge on I 4.0 Technologies.

  • Continuous improvement: must have knowledge of production techniques and tools, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • Effective communication: must be a good communicator, both verbally and in writing, and must be able to convey ideas and objectives clearly and concisely.

  • Delegation skills: must have the ability to train and delegate responsibilities and tasks to appropriate team members to optimize efficiency and productivity.

  • Time management: a production superintendent must be an expert in time management to ensure production planning are completed on time and within budget.
  • Empathy and interpersonal skills: must have interpersonal skills and empathy to connect with the team and understand their needs and concerns.
  • Adaptability and flexibility: must be able to adapt to change and be flexible in project management and teamwork.
  • Creativity and innovation: Must be creative and innovative to develop new ideas and methods to improve production and efficiency.
