Overview

CalAmp is seeking a Product Marketing Specialist to support global product marketing initiatives across our IoT hardware and telematics solutions. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and refining product marketing content that clearly communicates the value and technical capabilities of CalAmp’s Edge Devices and Telematics Solutions portfolio.

You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and the broad global Marketing team to produce materials that bridge technical understanding with compelling market communication. This includes supporting product launches, developing sales and customer-facing content, and working with creative agencies to deliver high-quality assets that align with CalAmp’s brand and technical standards.

This position requires strong analytical thinking, technical comprehension, and exceptional communication skills in English. The ideal candidate can grasp complex product concepts, manage multiple content projects, and contribute to the development of accurate, effective marketing materials across global teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain product marketing content including datasheets, feature briefs, solution overviews, and collateral for CalAmp’s Edge Devices and Telematics Solutions portfolio.
  • Produce customer-facing materials such as whitepapers, case studies, presentations, product videos, and infographics.
  • Support go-to-market planning and product launch activities in coordination with Product, Sales, and Global Marketing.
  • Build and update sales enablement tools including battlecards, competitor briefs, product comparison guides, and solution playbooks.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining training content and reference materials to equip internal teams with product knowledge and messaging accuracy.
  • Partner with Demand Generation on campaign content, ensuring product messages align across awareness, consideration, and evaluation stages.
  • Review and update product web content for accuracy, clarity, and SEO alignment.
  • Prepare supporting materials and data for analyst and trade publication engagement in collaboration with the global team.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to confirm technical details and ensure accuracy in customer-facing messaging.
  • Work with creative agencies to provide feedback and direction that ensures technical precision and brand consistency.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and educational materials highlighting CalAmp’s innovation in edge devices and microservices.
  • Build strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Sales, Demand Generation, and Customer Success to ensure unified market communication.
  • Review and adapt marketing content for Spanish-speaking audiences, ensuring technical fidelity and tone consistency.
Qualifications

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Electrical, Software Engineering or related fields.
  • 4–6 years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or marketing communications within a B2B technology environment.
  • Ability to understand technical product concepts and translate them into clear, market-facing content.
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills in English; full professional proficiency required.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish with the ability to ensure accuracy and nuance in localized content.
  • Experience collaborating with creative agencies or vendors on marketing assets.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams across regions.
Strong Pluses
  • Experience and familiarity with IoT, telematics, edge computing, or connected device industries.
  • Understanding of device configurations, firmware updates, or connectivity standards.
  • Experience in analyst and media relations with published bylines or trade commentary.
  • Global marketing experience supporting diverse verticals and geographies.
  • Comfort with multimedia content development (video scripting, webinar hosting, infographics).
