A leading energy solutions provider in Mexico is seeking an Operative Buyer to manage the purchasing process within the production environment. This role requires at least 1 year of experience in procurement, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing situations. The candidate will coordinate with various teams to ensure timely material delivery, place orders, and maintain documentation. This position offers a hybrid working setup, valuing flexibility and effective decision-making abilities.

Formación

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in procurement or a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes and authority limits required.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Operative Buyer, you will work closely with the Production and Planning departments to manage the purchasing process for all materials required in manufacturing. Your responsibilities include placing purchase orders, monitoring delivery schedules, and ensuring materials arrive on time at the warehouse. You will maintain constant interaction with Engineering, Planning, and Manufacturing teams, as well as daily communication with suppliers to guarantee timely material availability.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Planning and Manufacturing teams to ensure timely material arrival.
  • Place purchase orders accurately and in alignment with production requirements.
  • Monitor and follow up on material deliveries to guarantee on-time availability.
  • Track and support the payment process to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Coordinate with Logistics and Warehouse teams for material pickup and proper handling.
  • Maintain clear communication and documentation throughout the procurement process to ensure efficiency and compliance.
What You Bring
  • Education: University degree in International Trade, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in procurement or a similar role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of procurement processes and authority limits required to successfully complete projects.
  • Skills & Attributes: Professional attitude that inspires trust, strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and ability to make decisions independently, even in remote areas.
  • Flexibility: Adaptable to a constantly changing work environment and willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time.
  • Language: English proficiency at a professional working level.
